  1. Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It

Throughout this Privacy Notice, the term ?Personal Data? means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual or household. However, Personal Data does not include any deidentified or aggregated information.

Generally

We collect Personal Data:

  • directly from you when you provide it to us;

  • automatically as you navigate through the Websites and read our promotional emails;

  • information that we create about you as you use our Websites; and

  • from third parties.

Information You Provide to Us

We collect the following types of Personal Data directly from you when you access or use our Websites: name, postal address, date of birth, email address, telephone number, account name (and number), online identifier, signature (physical or electronic), and in limited circumstances, passport number.   • details of transactions you carry out through our Websites and of the fulfillment of your orders (e.g., order/payment information and history).

Information We Collect Through Automatic Data Collection Technologies

As you navigate through and interact with our Websites, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain Personal Data about your interaction with our Websites. By using the website, you consent to our use of automated data collection technologies. This can include information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, such as:

Information We Create About You

We may also create certain information about you when you use our Websites. When we associate this information with other Personal Data about you, we consider this information to be Personal Data. This information includes your username and password used to access our Websites, postal address, email address, telephone number, purchasing history, profile preferences, and VIN records.

Information We Collect from Third Parties

We may collect Personal Data from third parties, such as our B2B credit management platform, payment gateway provider, and travel agencies partners. When we associate this information with other Personal Data about you, we consider this information to be Personal Data. This information may include name, date of birth, postal address, email address, telephone number, account name, passport number, travel arrangement information, and signature (physical or electronic). In addition, we may also collect other types of information that you may provide to these third parties when you fill out a form or application on their websites or via webpages expressly governed by their privacy policies.

We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any Personal Data:

We do not sell, share, or disclose your Personal Data for purposes other than those outlined in this Privacy Notice, including any applicable jurisdiction-specific addendum appended to this Privacy Notice. However, we may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.

We may disclose Personal Data that we collect or you provide as described in this Privacy Notice:

  • to contractors, service providers, and other third parties who provide services to us, such as processing or fulfilling orders and transactions, verifying customer information, processing payments, facilitating travel arrangement relating to sponsored trips, providing financing, providing advertising, marketing, storage, and analytic services (e.g., internet cookie information recipients), or providing similar services on our behalf;

  • to a potential or actual buyer or other successor in the event of a planned or actual merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Parts Authority?s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which Personal Data held by Parts Authority about our Websites? users is among the assets transferred;

  • to cooperate with law enforcement agencies concerning conduct or activities that we (or one of our service providers?) believe may violate federal, state, or local law;

  • to receive year-end rebates from our supplier;

  • if we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Parts Authority, our customers, or others.

  1. Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information

We do not control the collection and use of your information collected by third parties described above in Disclosure of Your Information. These third parties may also aggregate the information they collect with information from their other customers for their own purposes.

In addition, we strive to provide you with choices regarding the Personal Data you provide to us and have created mechanisms to provide you with control over your Personal Data:

  • Cookies. On your computer, you may refuse to accept any non-essential browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. However, if you select this setting, you may be unable to access certain parts of our Websites. Unless you have adjusted your browser or operating system setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you direct your browser to our Websites.   • Web Beacons. Web beacons can be refused when delivered via email by disabling HTML images or refusing HTML (select ?Text Only?) emails via your email software.

  • Promotional Offers from Parts Authority (Email). We may also use your information to contact you about our goods and services that may be of interest to you (with your consent, if required by law). If you do not wish to have your email address used by us to promote our own products and services, you can opt-out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email or other marketing communications you receive from us. This opt-out does not apply to information provided to Parts Authority as a result of a product or service experience, purchase, or other transaction.

In addition to the choices made available to you with regard to the Personal Data that you provide to us, you may also contact us at the Contact Information below to request access to or correct any Personal Data that we have collected about you. You may also notify us of errors or changes in any Personal Data we have about you to ensure that it is complete, accurate, and as current as possible. We may not be able to accommodate your request if we believe it would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

Jurisdiction-Specific Rights

The law in some jurisdictions may provide you with additional rights regarding our use of Personal Data.   • For Residents of California: If you are a resident of California, you have the additional rights described in our California Privacy Addendum.

  1. Do Not Track Signals

Some web browsers permit you to broadcast a signal to websites and online services indicating a preference that they ?do not track? your online activities. However, there is no accepted standard for how a website or online service should respond to this signal and, at this time, we do not take any action in response to such a signal.

  1. Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your Personal Data from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Websites, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure.
